On-line Mapping Analysis
Access over 8 years of phytoplankton data from the NOAA Phytoplankton Monitoring Network, the New Hampshire Volunteer Phytoplankton Monitoring Program and the Washington SoundToxins Program. The on-line mapping interface allows users to analyze phytoplankton abundances from around the network. Views can be refined by inputting specific timeframes, specific species, and/or specific water conditions such as water temperature or salinity. Data can be downloaded by individual sampling site or for the entire network for further investigation.

Reporting a Potentially Toxic Event
If you think you may have observed a bloom or high abundance of a potentially toxic phytoplankton species, please contact Phytoplankton Monitoring Network (PMN) staff immediately via phone and/or email:
Make as many observations as you can about the site: weather conditions, water coloration, tides, local flora and fauna, and/or any organism mortality. Record these observations on your data sheet. If you have a camera, please take pictures during the bloom. For your safety, do not handle or touch any dead organisms found at your site.
