CCEHBR Coral Health and Disease Program couples the principles and available technologies of biomedical science with traditional measures of ecosystem health.

CCEHBR Scientists draw up a sample from a simulated salt-marsh ecosystem that has been exposed to an herbicide to study its fate and effects in a coastal environment.

Coastal decision makers need scientific information in order to appropriately manage coastal ecosystems impacted by climate change. CSCOR supports interdisciplinary, multi-year research programs investigating how oceanic and coastal ecosystems respond to climate variability and change.

CCEHBR provides scientific information required to resolve issues related to the health of coastal ecosystems. Major research areas include Estuaries and Land Use, Harmful Algal Blooms and Analytical Response, Marine Disease and Restoration Ecology (performed at the Cooperative Oxford Lab), and Protected Areas and Resources.

NOAA National Benthic Inventory

The NOAA National Benthic Inventory provides access to NCCOS’s National Benthic Inventory data. This includes information on benthic species distributions and a corresponding taxonomic voucher collection of preserved benthic specimens. Visit the project's web site.
