The map can be viewed with any respectable web browser and provides a general overview of the areal extent of the various sampling projects.   The linked metadata accompanying each inventory item gives a description of the project, purpose of sampling, types of samples collected, dates of sampling, and contact information.

ArcExplorer project files can be downloaded and viewed with the free ArcExplorer application.

ArcView project files can be downloaded and viewed in ArcView by users already having ArcView 3.x installed on their computers.

Both the ArcExplorer and ArcView project files allow a user to obtain specific information by individual sampling site, including the kinds of samples collected, sampling gear type, date sampled, geographic coordinates, and other parameters measured at the site.
