All contestants must fill out and sign an Entry Form. Important: For categories A, B and C, contestants are required to have a school contact who can attest to the contestants work on the entry. The Entry Form must be attached it to the back of your work with a single piece of transparent tape. Any entry submitted without a properly filled out Entry Form will not be considered for judging or prizes.
Entry Information: Entry to this contest results in the automatic submission to the rules and the decisions of the judges. The artist's name and art may be used in any promotions, publications, or exhibitions carried out by Phytoplankton Monitoring Network (PMN). All entries become the property of the PMN. Entries will not be returned, unless other arrangments have been made beforehand.
Copyrighted Work: All entries must be original work by the individual. It may not contain copyrighted material. Use of copyrighted material without permission will disqualify the entry.
Entry Deadlines: Entries must be received in the Charleston offices by the posted deadline (NOT postmarked by this date). Entries for each competition may be turned in up to four (4) weeks prior to the deadline. Entries received after deadline will not be considered for judging or prizes.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three pieces of work if the minimum number of entries is reached for each contest. Prizes include publication of work on the PMN website and in the PMN Newsletter: Plankton News. In addition:
